RETINAL IMAGING
Retinal imaging involves taking digital pictures of the back of the eye. These images show the retina, optic disc, and blood vessels, which help assess eye health and detect health diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

Sonia Purewal, owner of Yorkson Optical and licensed Optician, has been in the optical industry since 2000. She earned her Optician Diploma from BC College of Optics to build a strong foundation in eyewear fitting, lens technology, and vision care.
With over two decades of experience, she has helped countless clients find the perfect eyewear while staying at the forefront of optical advancements. Sonia ensures every pair of glasses provides both comfort and clarity.
In 2023, Sonia fulfilled her lifelong dream by opening Yorkson Optical, where she combines her expertise with a commitment to exceptional service. As the owner and lead optician, she is dedicated to providing high-quality vision solutions with precision, innovation, and a personalized touch.
DR. KAVDEEP KANG
OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Kavdeep Kang, from Surrey, BC, earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia, then pursued Optometry at Aston University, England, graduating with First Class Honours. Post graduation, she practiced in England, furthered her training at the University of Waterloo, and became board certified in Canada.
With practice in two countries, Dr. Kang brings 12 years of extensive clinical experience, spanning from managing various ocular diseases at Royal Derby Hospital, England, to working within a bustling ophthalmology clinic and providing primary eye care here in the Lower Mainland.
Passionate about delivering excellent eye care and education, Dr. Kang is fluent in English and Punjabi, and is a dedicated member of the British Columbia and Canadian Associations of Optometrists.
